Last week, Chime welcomed Jared Grusd as Chief Strategy Officer and SVP of Corporate Development. In his role, Jared will lead corporate strategy and development, business development, and strategic operations and initiatives across Chime. His goals are to augment Chime’s existing growth and to help chart out and achieve our short, medium, and long-term goals seamlessly.
Prior to joining Chime, Jared acted as the Chief Strategy Officer and as a strategic advisor to the CEO at Snap, Inc. There, he oversaw corporate strategy and development, partnerships, content, and international markets, and also served as a senior advisor to the CEO. Before his time at Snap, Inc., Jared worked as the CEO of HuffPost, the General Counsel & Global Head of Corporate Development at Spotify, the Chief Strategy Officer of AOL, and senior executive at Google.
Jared has devoted his entire career to helping mission-driven companies achieve their potential and make a positive impact on society.
“It is rare for a company to put itself in a position to both achieve its business goals and also make a transformational difference in the lives of millions of people. I see, in Chime, the hallmarks of many of the great qualities that the best consumer technology companies have. I am excited to roll up my sleeves with the team and apply the lessons I have learned from wearing multiple hats in other consumer verticals to help Chime grow and deepen its relationships with its members.”

On joining Chime–
“I’m excited to be joining Chime for our team—the energy at this company is contagious, and we have an outsized opportunity to make an impact together. I’m looking forward to delving into a new industry (for me) and being at a company that has put itself in a great position to achieve its ambitious and inspiring mission.”
